Is the fire stick 4K worth it?

I'm thinking of buying a fire stick 4K. I'm wondering if it's worth it. I've read that it's 4 times as sharp as 1080p. I don't have a 4K TV, but I'm thinking of getting one. I'm also wondering if the fire stick 4K will work with my current TV.
