N26 is a young company, having launched in early 2015. However, it is not technically a startup, as it is a subsidiary of the much larger German bank, Deutsche Telekom. That said, N26 operates as an independent entity, with its own app, website, and banking license. So while it may not be a startup in the truest sense of the word, it is still a fairly new and innovative company.
