GTFS-realtime data in Google Maps Directions API?

I was wondering if anyone knows if the google maps directions api includes gtfs-realtime data? I know that the google maps api includes real-time data for public transportation, but I wasn't sure if that included gtfs-realtime data.

I'm not sure if GTFS-realtime data is in the Google Maps Directions API, but it is possible to get real-time data for public transit from the Google Maps API.
