Shopify has been in the news a lot lately, with reports that the company is losing money. Is this true? If so, why? And what does it mean for the future of Shopify?I've been using Shopify for a few years now, and I'm curious to know if the reports are true. If Shopify is losing money, what does that mean for the future of the company? And for the future of online businesses?

As of July 2020, Shopify is not losing money. In fact, they are doing quite well financially. In the second quarter of 2020, Shopify announced that their net revenue had increased by 97% when compared to the second quarter of 2019. They also announced that their gross merchandise value (GMV) had increased by 116% over the same time period.
