Assuming you would like to know how to install and/or run Blackboard Collaborate on Ubuntu 18.04:
First, you'll need to make sure you have all the dependencies required to run Blackboard Collaborate installed on your Ubuntu system. You can check if you have these dependencies installed by running the following command:
sudo apt-get install libpdf-api2-perl libarchive-zip-perl libcrypt-ssleay-perl
If the above command returns any errors, then you will need to install the missing dependencies.
Next, you'll need to download the Blackboard Collaborate Launcher installation file from the internet. You can find the latest version of the installation file here:
https://www.blackboard.com/content-collection/core-elements/collaborate-ultra/latest-version
Once the file has finished downloading, you will need to unzip it. This can be done by double-clicking on the file or by running the following command in a terminal:
unzip blackboard-collaborate-launcher-latest.zip
After the file has been unzipped, you will need to run the installation file. This can be done by double-clicking on the file or by running the following command in a terminal:
sudo ./install.sh
Once the installation has finished, you will be able to launch Blackboard Collaborate by clicking on the blackboard-collaborate-launcher.desktop file that was created in your applications menu.
