In January of 2020, Upchain was purchased by583 Capital, a venture capital firm based in Toronto, Canada. Prior to the sale, Upchain had raised a total of $8.3 million in funding from a variety of different investors, including Global Founders Capital,Golden Ventures, and Real Ventures.
