wondering why amazon hasn't updated Kindle app for iPhone X

I was wondering if anyone knew why amazon hasn't updated the kindle app for the iphone x? The app still has the old bezels and doesn't take advantage of the full screen. It's a bit frustrating since I just got the new phone.
