Yes, you can absolutely have your Google Home announce when your Nest Yale Smart Lock is unlocked! Here's how to do it:
Make sure you have a compatible smartphone. You'll need either an Android smartphone running version 5.0 or higher, or an iOS version 10 or higher. You can check your mobile device's version by going to Settings > About Phone (on Android) or Settings > General > About (for iOS).
Download the Google Home app. For iOS, you can download the app from the App Store; for Android, you’ll find it in the Google Play Store.
Install and configure both the Nest app and Google Home app. Follow the instructions from Nest to set up and connect your Nest Yale Smart Lock. Then, launch the Google Home app, and create a Google account if you don’t already have one.
Connect your Nest and Google Home accounts. Open both apps, and enter your Nest username and password on the Google Home app in order to link the two accounts.
Set up your Nest routines. Launch the Nest app, and select Create a Routine. Select device control as your trigger, and then pick your Nest Yale Smartlock. For the action, select “Announce on Google Home”.
Now, whenever your Nest Yale Smartlock is unlocked, Google Home will announce it aloud!
