I am considering going to school for sonography. I want to know why you picked this over other medical imaging careers. I am looking for pros and cons.I am looking at going to school for sonography. I chose sonography over xray tech for a few reasons. First, I felt that sonography had a higher potential to provide more personalized patient care. With xray tech, you are mostly working with machines and providing a service, whereas with sonography you are working more closely with patients and their families. I also felt that sonography had a brighter future in terms of job growth and potential earnings. Finally, I liked the idea of using ultrasound technology to create images of the inside of the body - it just seemed like a more fascinating and interesting field to me!

There are a few reasons why I chose to become a sonographer rather than an X-ray technician. First and foremost, I have a real passion for helping people and providing them with the best possible care. I knew that becoming a sonographer would allow me to directly impact the lives of my patients in a very positive way.

Additionally, I was very interested in the technology involved in sonography. I knew that it was a field that was constantly evolving and that I would be able to learn new things and stay on the cutting edge of technology. I also loved the idea of being able to work closely with other medical professionals in order to provide the best care possible for patients.
