The Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) is a collegiate public state university in Karnataka State, India. It was established on 1 April 1998 by the Government of Karnataka. VTU is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and All Commonwealth Association of Universities (ACU).
The university has 16 years of excellence in technical education. It is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). VTU offers various undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, and Pharmacy.
The university has 200 affiliated colleges spread over Karnataka, with 13 constituent colleges and 4 autonomous colleges under its wings.
The Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) conducts exams for its students twice a year. The exams are held in the months of June-July (odd semester) and December-January (even semester). The exams are of 3 hours duration and are conducted in the afternoon session.
The exams are conducted offline, in the pen-and-paper mode.
