OK Google disabled?

I have a question regarding the "OK Google" feature on my Android phone. I have it turned on, but it doesn't seem to be working. Whenever I say "OK Google", it just opens up the Google search app. Is this feature supposed to be disabled? Or am I doing something wrong?

As far as I know, you can still enable/disable OK Google from the settings.

If you're having trouble using "Ok Google" to start a voice search on your device, it could be because the feature is turned off. Here's how to turn it on:

Open the Google app on your device.
Tap the More icon in the lower right corner of the screen.
Tap Settings.
Tap Voice.
Make sure "Ok Google" is turned on.
