Can't install SQL Server 2017/2016 Express

I have been trying to install microsoft sql server 2017 or 2016 express on my computer for a while now, but every time I try, I get an error message saying that the program can't be installed on my computer. I don't know what the problem is, and I really need sql server for my work.

There can be a number of reasons why you might not be able to install Microsoft SQL Server 2017 or 2016 Express. Some of the most common reasons include:

You don't have sufficient permissions. Make sure you're logged in with an administrator account before trying to install the software.
Your computer doesn't meet the system requirements. Microsoft SQL Server requires a minimum of 4GB of RAM and 3.25GB of available disk space.
You already have a different version of SQL Server installed. If you try to install a second instance of SQL Server, the setup will abort.

You might not have enough free space on your hard drive. Microsoft SQL Server 2017 and 2016 Express require at least 3 GB of free space on the drive where you want to install it.
Your computer might not meet the minimum system requirements for Microsoft SQL Server 2017 or 2016 Express. The minimum system requirements are available on Microsoft's website.
You might already have a version of Microsoft SQL Server installed on your computer. Microsoft SQL Server 2017 and 2016 Express can't be installed on a computer that has another version of Microsoft SQL Server already installed.
You might have an incompatible version of .NET Framework installed on your computer. Microsoft SQL Server 2017 and 2016 Express require .NET Framework 4.6.1 or later.
