First, try clearing the Google Play Store app's cache and data:
- Open your device's Settings app .
- Tap Apps & notifications See all apps.
- Scroll down and tap Google Play Store .
- Tap Storage Clear Cache.
- Next, tap Clear Data.
- Re-open the Play Store and try your download again.
If that doesn't work, you can try uninstalling and then re-installing the Google Play Store app:
- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Settings app .
- Tap Apps & notifications See all apps.
- Scroll down and tap Google Play Store .
- Tap Uninstall .
- Tap OK.
- Download the latest version of the Google Play Store app from the Google Play Store.
- Open the downloaded apk file and tap Install.
