How can I remove my Google Drive doc from only one folder?

I have a document in my google drive that I would like to remove from only one folder. The document is shared with others, so I don't want to delete it entirely. Is there any way to do this?

There isn't a way to remove a Google Drive document from only one folder, you can either move it to a different folder, or delete it entirely.

To remove a Google Drive document from only one folder:

Right-click on the document.
Select "Remove from Folder."
Choose the folder from which you want to remove the document.

That's it! The document will be removed from the selected folder, but will remain in your Google Drive.
