There are a few reasons for this. One is that Amazon Prime Video in Canada only launched in December 2016, nearly 10 years after it debuted in the US. This means that the Canadian catalog is significantly smaller than the US one. Additionally, some popular shows and movies that are available on Prime Video in the US are not available in Canada due to licensing restrictions. Finally, Amazon Prime Video in Canada is not included in the Prime membership price, whereas in the US it is. So, even though Prime membership costs the same in both countries, Canadians are getting less value for their money.
