How do I change my Google account avatar on the Gmail iOS app?

I have a gmail account and an iOS device. I would like the gmail app on my iOS device to show my google account's avatar. Is this possible? How can I do this?

Gmail's iOS app supports profile photos stored on Google accounts. To set this up, you'll need to take the following steps:

Log in to the Google account you'd like to use for your profile photo
Visit your Google Account page
Choose the "Personal Info" tab
From the left-hand menu, select "Profile".
Select the pencil icon located by your profile photo
Upload a photo of your choice from your computer.
Once your photo is saved, open the Gmail app on your iOS device and log in with the same Google account
If the profile photo is not appearing, try force-closing the Gmail app and re-opening it.

Gmail iOS app doesn't show your avatar image or any other images from your Google account automatically. However, you can manually set it up by following the steps below:

Open the Gmail iOS app and sign in with your Google account.
Tap on the profile picture that is shown at the top of the screen.
Select the "Manage Accounts" button at the bottom of the screen.
Select the plus sign (+) button located at the top right corner of the screen.
Tap on the "Add Avatar" button located at the bottom of the screen.
Select the image from the photo library that you want to use as your Gmail profile picture.
Tap on the "Save" button at the top right of the screen.
