MAKAUT, formerly known as the West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT), is a state university located in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. It was established in 2000. It offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Pharmacy, and Applied Sciences. The university is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA).
