Getting satellite view on Google Maps is an easy process. First, find the area you want to look at and determine the zoom level you need to get an aerial view. Zoom levels range from 0 (the furthest away, showing the entire world) to 24 (the closest view, showing detailed street level images).
Once you have found the view you are looking for, simply click the small satellite button in the bottom right-hand corner of the map. This will switch the entire map over to satellite view.
You may also need to adjust the map to tilt it slightly so that you can see certain buildings or roads better, too. To do that, simply click and hold the small man-shaped icon that is located in the bottom left-hand corner of the map. Once you see the display change, you can tilt the map using the indicator that appears.
And there you have it! You can now explore the area you were looking at in satellite view on Google Maps.
