I’m really excited about the advances in artificial intelligence (AI) technology. AI is the ability for computers to replicate and automate cognitive functions that we would typically perform ourselves. Its potential applications in areas such as medical technology and smart home controls are really exciting.
AI is also having a major impact on robotics. We are seeing a huge rise in the automation of simple tasks that used to be handled manually. For example, robotic vacuums and mowers are being used more and more in households, which can help take some of the hassle out daily tasks. We are even seeing robots surpassing humans in complex games like Go.
We are also seeing a rise in the development of autonomous vehicles.
