Yes, there is a migration path from UCS Central to Intersight SaaS. The migration process requires that you initially set-up an Intersight SaaS account, after which users can migrate an existing UCS Central environment to Intersight.
The Cisco Intersight Migration Tool (CIMT) is the recommended way to migrate from UCS Central to Intersight SaaS. This tool provides an easy to use graphical interface for use in the migration process to ensure a seamless migration of your environment. After your environment is migrated to Intersight, users can quickly adopt and start using the Intersight platform to manage and maintain their UCS environment.
In addition, the migration process also allows for some configurations to be able to move over to the Intersight environment intact. This includes fabric configurations, policies and templates. However, some configurations such as host profiles, service profile life cycle operations, host pools and pools may require re-establishing in Intersight.
To help users make the transition to Intersight SaaS, Cisco also provides a comprehensive knowledge base that offers detailed information on migrating from UCS Central to Intersight using the CIMT.
