Reading data from Google Storage Cloud to Google Cloud Datalab is an easy process and can be done fairly quickly. Here is how to do it:
- Log in to your Google Cloud Platform.
- Launch the GCP console and select Cloud Storage.
- Select the cloud bucket (if you don’t have any, create one) which contains the data that you wish to read.
- Click your bucket to list the files and select the desired source data.
- Navigate to the Google Cloud Datalab page and log in.
- Create a new notebook and make sure to select ‘Google Cloud Storage’ as the source data option.
- From the list of buckets you have, select the one which contains the data you need.
- Select the appropriate file and the data will be ready to be used in Datalab.
