How do I report a DMCA on Shopify?

I have a client who has had their Shopify store shut down due to a DMCA complaint. I need to know how to file a counter notice so that their store can be reinstated.

If you're a victim of copyright infringement on Shopify, you can report it by following these steps:

Go to the Shopify platform and log in to your account.
Click on the "Shopify Admin" button located in the upper-right corner.
Click on the "Menu" button in the left sidebar and select "Online Store."
Click on the "Pages" link in the sub-menu and then click on the "Add Page" button.
Select "Create a new page" and enter "DMCA" in the Page Title field.
In the Page Content field, enter the following text:

I am the victim of copyright infringement on Shopify. The infringing material is [insert URL of the infringing material]. I have a good faith belief that the use of the copyrighted work is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law. I hereby declare, under penalty of perjury, that the information in this notice is accurate and that I am the copyright owner or am authorized to act on behalf of the owner.

Click on the "Save Page" button.

You can also report copyright infringement to Shopify's Legal team by sending an email to legal@shopify.com.

To report a DMCA on Shopify, you will need to contact Shopify's DMCA Agent directly. You can find their contact information here: https://www.shopify.com/legal/dmca-agent.

Once you have their contact information, you will need to send them a detailed notice of the infringement. This should include:

-A description of the copyrighted work that you believe has been infringed
-A description of where the infringing material is located on the Shopify site
-Your contact information, including your address, telephone number, and email address
-A statement by you that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
-A statement by you, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the copyright owner's behalf
-Your physical or electronic signature

Once the DMCA Agent receives your notice, they will investigate and take appropriate action. This may include removing the infringing material from the site.
