The company was seed-funded by Benchmark, Data Collective, Index Ventures, and Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers. In 2015, Confluent raised $24 million in Series A funding from Sequoia Capital. In 2016, the company raised $50 million in Series B funding from Index Ventures and Sequoia Capital.
